3D Visualization & Animation

Show the Product Before It Exists

Photoreal 3D, product animation, and interactive web experiences — built in-house by a studio that's been doing this for fifteen years. If it can't be photographed yet, can't be opened up, or hasn't shipped, we can still show it.

The Real Cost of Not Being Able to Show It

You Can't Photograph a Product That Doesn't Exist Yet

There's a specific and expensive gap in most product companies' marketing, and it sits between "we've decided to build this" and "we have units to photograph."

That gap is often six to eighteen months. During it you're pre-selling, raising, taking distributor meetings, and gathering pre-orders using a CAD screenshot, a line drawing, and a paragraph. The buyer's imagination is doing work your marketing should be doing, and imagination is not reliably generous.

The gap doesn't close after launch either. Some products can't be usefully photographed at all — anything whose value is inside the housing, anything installed on a rooftop or in a data center, anything with forty configurations you can't afford to build and shoot. A photograph shows the outside of a thing. A lot of engineered products sell on what's inside.

And then the version that costs the most: your buyer needs to see their configuration, in their application, and your site offers a static gallery. They leave to work out whether it fits, and a meaningful share of them don't come back — not because the answer was no, but because finding it was work.

Our Approach

A Real 3D Studio, Not an Agency Subcontracting One

Fifteen years of 3D, in-house

This isn't a capability we broker. The modeling, animation, and interactive work is done by our own studio, which means revisions take hours instead of a vendor cycle, and the person animating your product can talk to your engineer directly.

Built from your CAD, not re-guessed from photos

We work from your actual engineering data where it exists — accurate geometry, accurate tolerances, accurate assemblies. That's what makes a render usable in a spec context rather than only in a brochure.

Interactive on the web, and fast

WebGI, Spline, and Three.js — real-time configurators and product explorers that run in a browser without a plugin and without destroying your page speed. Most agencies can't offer this at all, and the ones that can rarely make it performant.

Full-service, SaaS, or hybrid

We produce the assets, or we build the interactive system and hand your team the pipeline to update it as the product line changes.

What's Included

From CAD File to Something a Buyer Can Turn Around

3D Product Modeling

Accurate models built from CAD, drawings, or physical reference. The foundation asset — once it exists, every render, animation, and interactive experience reuses it, which is why the first product costs more than the fifth.

Photoreal Visualization

Product imagery in any configuration, finish, environment, or angle. No photo shoot, no physical sample, no reshoot when the colorway changes. For companies with large configuration matrices this replaces a recurring photography line item entirely.

Product Animation

Exploded views, assembly and installation sequences, cutaways showing internal mechanism, and how the thing works in application. This is the format that sells engineered products, because it answers the question a photograph can't.

Interactive Web 3D

Configurators and product explorers running live on your site — rotate it, change the configuration, see the price band, open the assembly. Built to load fast and to sit inside a real page rather than take one over. See web design for how it's integrated.

Marketing & Campaign Renders

3D assets cut into social, ad creative, and video. Produced once, deployed across every channel — the cheapest asset reuse available to a product company, and it's handled by our video team.

Technical & Sales Visualization

Installation guides, spec imagery, training material, and the visuals your sales team uses in the room. Frequently the highest-return application and almost always the last one anybody thinks of.

What Your Points Buy

3D Work, Priced in Points

  • 3D Product Model — 13 points.

The base asset. Everything else is built on it.

  • 3D Product Animation (15–30s) — 20 points.

Exploded view, assembly sequence, or application demonstration.

  • Interactive 3D Web Experience — 40 points.

Configurator or product explorer, built and integrated. Run as a project across two months of your balance.

The economics matter here: the model is the expensive part and it's a one-time cost. Once it exists, renders, animations, and campaign assets all draw on it, so the second product in a line costs meaningfully less than the first.

Reallocate them next month if your priorities change.

How It Works

Weeks for a Model, Longer for Interactive

Asset Review & Scope — week one

What CAD or reference exists, what configurations matter commercially, and what the assets need to do. Good CAD accelerates everything; we'll tell you honestly if what you have needs rebuilding.

Modeling & Look Development — weeks two through four

The model, then materials and lighting, then approval on a hero render before anything is produced at volume. One approval gate, deliberately — reviewing sixty renders is worse than reviewing one.

Production & Deployment — week five onward

Renders, animation, or interactive build. Interactive work takes longest because it has to be optimized for the browser as well as look right — a configurator that takes eight seconds to load is a configurator nobody uses.

Is This a Fit?

Who This Is Built For

This is built for you if:

  • You're marketing a product that hasn't shipped yet
  • Your product's value is inside it, or in how it installs
  • You have more configurations than you can photograph
  • You sell industrial equipment, safety products, medical devices, or engineered consumer goods

This isn't the right fit if:

  • Your product photographs well and one shoot covers the range
  • There's no CAD, no drawings, and no physical sample to work from
  • You need it in a week — modeling is skilled work and it takes the time it takes
  • You want a configurator on a site that isn't fast enough to carry one

Common Questions

What Product Companies Ask About 3D

Do you need our CAD files?

It's the fastest path and the most accurate. We can work from drawings, specifications, or a physical sample instead, though it adds modeling time. What we won't do is guess at geometry that has to be correct.

How does 3D compare to product photography on cost?

For a single product with one finish, photography usually wins. For a product line with multiple configurations, finishes, or environments, 3D wins clearly and keeps winning — the model is built once and every variant after that is a render, not a shoot. It also doesn't require the product to exist.

Can you show the inside of a product?

That's one of the strongest reasons to use 3D. Exploded views, cutaways, and assembly sequences show mechanism and construction in a way no photograph can, and for engineered products that's frequently the actual sales argument.

Will an interactive configurator slow our site down?

Not if it's built properly, which is most of the work. Ours load progressively with a static poster first, are capped for mobile, and are integrated by the same team that does our performance engineering. A slow configurator is worse than no configurator and we'd rather not ship one.

How long does a product model take?

Two to four weeks for the model and look development, depending on complexity and the quality of the source data. Renders and animation follow from there.

Do we own the models?

Yes — models, renders, animations, and source files. If you later take production in-house or to another studio, the assets go with you.

If You Can't Show It, You're Asking Buyers to Imagine It

The audit is free and takes 30 minutes. Bring a product and whatever source data you have — we'll tell you what's realistic, what it costs in points, and whether photography would frankly serve you better.
